I'm Kieran, also known as AphelionDev.

I’m a 25‑year‑old writer, world‑builder, Systems designer and UI‑designer currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Video‑Game Design & Development. My key passions and interest in game design revolve around gameplay mechanics, puzzles, ability synergy, narrative, environmental storytelling, and systems that are built to last to keep a project fresh!

I am hyper-fixated and relentlessly passionate about multifaceted design, hoping to grow and become multidisciplinary in my work, intent to not be boxed in by framework where unnecessary.

I’m a huge fan of all things creative‑media: pop‑culture, photography, film, graphic design, writing. I began my creative journey as a kid with an artistic dream; as most do, eventually finding my way into design and intentionality. Balancing this creative freedom and purposeful, precise workflow has allowed me to be free thinking yet focused on client projects and personal in the past, and has been foundational to professional work I’ve taken on. I have often been described as relaxed and nonchalant; yet driven and with the capacity to ‘lock-in’ on themes and ideas extensively, sharpening them into a final shape (perhaps to my own detriment).
